Our Story
Founded in 1914 by merging the Madrid clubs Cardenal Cisneros and Regional, it joined the Federación Castellana in 1915. It regularly participated in the first category of the Campeonato Regional Centro, a qualifier for the Spanish Championship, winning the regional title in 1915 and 1919.
At the start of the Spanish league championship, Racing de Madrid was drawn into the Segunda División Group "A", the second of the three categories into which clubs were divided, with the Primera División as the top category and the Segunda División Group "B" as the third category. At the end of the season, Racing, under the management of former national team manager Paco Bru, finished last in a ten-team tournament, having achieved only six wins and one draw, and was relegated to the newly created Tercera División.
Furthermore, Racing de Madrid competed in the Spanish Football Championship (the Copa) several times throughout its history, being eliminated in its first appearance by Arenas Club de Guecho (in the first round) after a playoff match in the 1919 edition.

Ten years later, in the 1929 edition, Racing de Madrid achieved its best performance in the tournament, eliminating Iberia SC de Zaragoza in the round of 32 and Valencia in the round of 16, before falling in the quarterfinals to Real Madrid. The following year, in the 1930 edition, Racing de Madrid was eliminated in the round of 32 by Real Unión de Irún. The 1931 edition would be the last in which Racing would participate before its demise a year later, falling to Sevilla in the round of 32.
Prepare for an unprecedented journey! The Racing Madrid Football Club, brought back to life in 2021 by the Racing City Group and Steve Nijjar, is set to write a new chapter in its rich history. Following in the footsteps of the remarkable Wrexham story and aiming to repeat the success that other reality shows like "Campioni, il Sogno" have achieved in the past, the club is now the focus of a reality show that documents its audacious mission to ascend from the 5th Tier to the top tiers of La Liga.
For those unfamiliar, Wrexham AFC, one of the oldest clubs in the UK, faced numerous challenges until it was acquired by American actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. Their unique blend of effort, sport, celebrity, and business acumen brought global attention and new energy to the club, charting a success story that Racing Madrid aims to replicate.
